Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic Offers Fans a Chance to Win Great Prizes, Including a New Car and the Racing Experience
Mount Pleasant, TX. - Fans at the fourth annual Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic this weekend will have a chance to win lots of great prizes, including a 2008 Pontiac Solstice and The Racing Experience. Fans who make a donation to the MPHS Junior Class will have their names entered in drawings to win the car. Two names will be drawn from entries for a chance to throw a football through the window of a car at halftime. The winning toss means a new car for the lucky fan, courtesy of Sisk Motors in Mount Pleasant. If the contestants do not win the car, each will have the opportunity to toss for two other prizes - an X-Box 360 Core Console System or a XM Satellite Radio Sportscaster with three months of service. Fans who make a donation to Junior Achievement will have the opportunity to win The Racing Experience. The lucky winner will get the 6-Lap Ultimate Racing Experience in a real NEXTEL Cup Stock Car at speeds reaching 165 miles per hour. Tickets for the car toss and The Racing Experience will be available at the Pilgrim's Bride Bowl Classic Banquet at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center on Friday, December 8, at the Bowl Classic Tailgate Party Saturday, December 8 and at Sam Parker Field on game day. Event Information A tailgate party will begin at 10:30 a.m. December 8 featuring the music of Doctor Doctor. Pre-game activities are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., with kick-off to follow at 1 p.m. Southwest Junior College Football Conference Champions Navarro College will play against 4th-ranked Georgia Military College. Reserved seat tickets for the game are now on sale at the Mt. Pleasant High School Business Office. Reserved seats are $10 for chair-back seats and $8 for the remaining reserved seats. General admission seats are $6 and are on sale at area banks, Mt. Pleasant High School, the Mt. Pleasant ISD Administration Building and the Titus County-Mt. Pleasant Chamber of Commerce.
