Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic Offers Fans a Chance to Win Great Prizes, Including a New Car and an Autographed NASCAR HelmetMount Pleasant, TX, December 5, 2006 - Fans at the third annual Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic this weekend will have a chance to win lots of great prizes, including a 2007 Pontiac G-6 GT and an autographed NASCAR helmet. All it takes is a donation to Junior Achievement. Fans who make a donation to Junior Achievement will have their names entered in drawings to win the car and the "Race for the Chase" NASCAR helmet signed by some of today's top drivers. Two names will be drawn from entries for a chance to throw a football through the window of the car at halftime. The winning toss means a new car for the lucky fan, courtesy of Sisk Motors in Mount Pleasant. If the contestants do not win the car, each will have the opportunity to toss for two other prizes - an X-Box 360 Core Console System or a XM Satellite Radio Sportscaster with three months of service. The drawing for the NASCAR helmet will be held during the third quarter of the game. Tickets for the car toss and NASCAR helmet are available for a donation to Junior Achievement at Pilgrim Bank on South Jefferson. They also will be available at Sam Parker Field on game day. The third annual Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic football game will be held December 9, 2006, at Sam Parker Field in Mount Pleasant. A tailgate party will begin at 11 a.m. that day featuring the music of "Doctor, Doctor." Pre-game is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., with kick-off to follow at 1 p.m. pitting top-ranked Blinn College of Brenham, Texas, against second-ranked Pearl River Community College of Poplarville, Mississippi. Reserved seat tickets for the game are now on sale at the Mt. Pleasant High School Business Office. Reserved seats are $10 for chair-back seats and $8 for the remaining reserved seats. General admission seats are $6 and are located on the visitor's side of the field.
