Cowboy Insider Ray Stone to speak at Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic Banquet

Ray Stone Mt. Pleasant, Texas - November 1, 2004 - Some of the best stories about Dallas Cowboy football have never made it to the sports pages. But those who attend the banquet prior to the Pilgrim's Pride bowl Classic will hear those stories from someone who was there.

"Cowboy Report" creator Ray Stone will address the Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic banquet Friday, December 3, 2004, the night before the inaugural football bowl game at Sam Parker Field in Mt. Pleasant.

The Pilgrim's Pride Bowl Classic will match one of the top teams from the Southwest Junior College Football Conference and a team from another league to be determined. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, December 4. Game tickets will be available for purchase mid-November at Brookshires and Super 1.

"There are many humorous stories involving Dallas Cowboy players that never made the sports page," Stone said. For 20 years, he has traveled the Southwest, relating humorous and motivational stories involving the Dallas Cowboys-from Don Meredith, Roger Staubach, Jethro Pugh, Walt Garrison, Tom Landry, Danny White and Troy Aikman to current players.

Stone's presentation covers the 44-year history of the Cowboys, the Super Bowl years and the bright spots of the seasons. Banquet guests can look forward to enjoying his locker room tales of some of the great Dallas Cowboys players.

The speaker has also provided an official NFL Dallas Cowboys football autographed by Troy Aikman and Roger Staubach that will be raffled off during the game.
